SATURDAY, APRIL 12
Scripture: 2 Samuel 12:1-5

In 2 Samuel 12 David is confronted by Nathan the prophet. Nathan in a parable tells David a tale of grave injustice. David’s anger was aroused and he decreed a fitting judgment. In verse 5, an angry David declared, “As the Lord lives, the man who has done this shall surely die.” The Priestly anointing of David’s covenant guarantees us that if we have a failure, God will redeem it, if we do one thing. That one thing is to repent and to turn from our sin. We must acknowledge our sin and turn from it. That guarantees us the full measure of the Priestly half of the covenant. God is ready. We could preach this compassionate Christ any and everywhere. It is, however, the second half of the covenant that we need to develop in!
