Scripture: Psalm 143:12

Psalm 143:12 acknowledges the Kingly expression of Who Christ is! In Psalm 143:12, David is praying because his son, Absalom, has taken over the city of Jerusalem and David is being hunted by his own son. This is his prayer employing the covenant of Sure Mercy. Psalm 143:12 says, “In Your mercy cut off my enemies, And destroy all those who afflict my soul; For I am Your servant.” The Kingly anointing is the anointing that asks God to cut off the enemy and to destroy those who afflict our soul. “Cut off” and “destroy” are ultimate judgments! When we have a religious spirit we absolutely rebel against that kind of justice. That seems too difficult, too hard. And yet in the end times that is the kind of justice that rules and carries the day. The book of Revelation authorizes this kind of justice. The same justice that dealt with Absalom and Ahithophel, this is the justice that the book of Revelation is full of. How can we walk out the book of Revelation if we will not say yes to this level and degree of Kingly authority? The answer is we cannot! There is a David in us that we have to choose to develop and let God bring him out. The truth is that many will not. They are caught up in an old paradigm. They are walking in unsanctified mercy. And they may not believe that there is any more judgment. They do not understand there is a boatload of Ananias and Sapphiras who are ready to break out in the church. It is entirely possible that many leaders and politicians will gain the fear of the Lord based on what they see the Lord doing in the church. Are we ready? God is waiting for us. We have to say, yes and then let Him develop Himself judicially in us.
