FRIDAY, MAY 15
Scripture: Matthew 3:12

Matthew 3:12 says, “His winnowing fan is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clean out His threshing floor, and gather His wheat into the barn; but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.” John the Baptist was making the way of the Lord straight. Is the way of the Lord being made straight in our church or is it being neglected? We can tell by what is bring preached. Does what is being preached line up with Matthew 3? If it does not line up with Matthew 3, it is unlikely the way of the Lord is being made straight. Do we hear of unquenchable fire? Do we hear about chaff? Does the word that comes forth in our churches help us to identify chaff? Is word being preached that makes straight the way of the Lord or is it making a crooked path? Is the Word being preached in our churches challenging us to grow into Christ’s full purposes? If it does not line up with what John preached, then we will pay the price.
