Scripture: Matthew 6:19-24

Matthew 6:19-24 says, “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness! No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.” Jesus prohibits laying up in store things on earth. He says that where we should keep our account is in heaven. We have a heavenly bank account, so it follows we can withdraw from our heavenly account. But most of all, if we keep our heart in a pure-hearted place by passing the money test, then we can have the privilege of bringing God’s anointing to bear on those who are disobedient to what Jesus said to do. We get to access the justice of God to transfer wealth when we are obedient. If we are not laying up in store here it means God has our heavenly wealth available to Him and we can ask for an anointing to transfer wealth from the kingdom of darkness to the Kingdom of Light. Have we given God everything we have? Because that is what is required. He can tap it as He wills.
