Scripture: Jeremiah 8:21-22

Jeremiah 8:21-22 says, “For the hurt of the daughter of my people I am hurt. I am mourning; Astonishment has taken hold of me. Is there no balm in Gilead, Is there no physician there? Why then is there no recovery For the health of the daughter of my people?” When sin is an issue, there is never healing unless there is acknowledgment of the sin and repentance. Transparency in James 5 is the key to the prayer of faith healing the sick. And if sins have been committed there is forgiveness available. It has been bought and paid for by the blood of Jesus. We have to do our part. We have to pray it. We have to acknowledge our sin and turn from it. If there is no acknowledgment, if there is no turning from sin, there is no healing. Period! End of story!
