Scripture: Leviticus 18:26-28

Leviticus 18:26-28 says, “You shall therefore keep My statutes and My judgments, and shall not commit any of these abominations, either any of your own nation or any stranger who dwells among you (for all these abominations the men of the land have done, who were before you, and thus the land is defiled), lest the land vomit you out also when you defile it, as it vomited out the nations that were before you.” How clear is it when a passage tells us to not repeat the mistakes of the nations who lost their land because they filled it with iniquity? We are told to avoid the sin that causes the nation to vomit us out. Do not defile the land in which you are living! Anyone who sheds innocent blood, commits sexual sin, enters into demon worship, New Age or the rebellion of the drug culture contributes to the defiling of the land and the promise of Scripture is that God will cut us off. Being cut off is a one way ticket to death, destruction and hell. But the good news is, repentance can change that. Jesus paid the price for our mistakes. No one wants to stop defiling the land with iniquity unless they understand the consequences.
