Scripture: Psalm 1:1-3

Psalm 1:1-3 says, “Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper.” When we delight in the law of the Lord and we speak it day and night into our hearts and out loud as well, then the promise is we will be like a tree, planted by rivers of water. We will bring forth fruit in our season, our leaf will never wither and whatever we do will prosper. That is an awesome blessing for just spending time in God’s Word and speaking it. And yet, that is the promise. How can we neglect to do that when such great promises are offered to those who give the Word its rightful place in our life? This is a path not only to personal growth and change, but a path to victory as well.
