Scripture: Jude 17-23

Jude 17-23 says, “But you, beloved, remember the words which were spoken before by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ: how they told you that there would be mockers in the last time who would walk according to their own ungodly lusts. These are sensual persons, who cause divisions, not having the Spirit. But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. And on some have compassion, making a distinction; but others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire, hating even the garment defiled by the flesh.” Jude draws a distinction between the ungodly who are going to face the Judge and what the godly do in gaining the harvest. He tells us that we will endure mocking, coming from people with ungodly lust and sensuous people who try to cause divisions. But our job is to build ourselves up on our most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep ourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ which will usher us into eternal life. Jude is a great book that really encourages us to seek God for His very best and to pursue it in the last days. He has it for us, it is ordained and we need to be seeking His guidance continually. The Lord has entrusted a great harvest to us, but there is tremendous warfare getting it. The way we prepare is to hide the Word in our hearts and to build ourselves up through anointed prayer.
