Scripture: Hebrews 11:26-27

Concerning Moses, Hebrews 11:26-27 says, “…esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in[a] Egypt; for he looked to the reward. By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king; for he endured as seeing Him who is invisible.” Using his faith on his flesh, enabled Moses to obey God and do what the Lord called him to do. His faith was honored in all of the mighty judgments on Egypt that brought the people out. Faith works, but we first have to apply it to our own flesh. We have to apply it on ourselves to surrender whatever is necessary to do God’s will. That is certainly true in Luke 17.
