Scripture: Micah 6:6-8

In Micah 6:6-8, Micah reached the pinnacle of his ministry when he says, “With what shall I come before the Lord, And bow myself before the High God? Shall I come before Him with burnt offerings, With calves a year old? Will the Lord be pleased with thousands of rams, Ten thousand rivers of oil? Shall I give my firstborn for my transgression, The fruit of my body for the sin of my soul? He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you But to do justly, To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God?” Micah was a great prophet who carried the Word of the Lord, took on every segment of his society and brought the Word of the Lord over their heads until they were eventually destroyed. The prophet‘s job was to obey God in subduing kingdoms until they came under God’s rulership. Prophets did it by declaration of judgment even if they did not see that judgment fall in their lifetime. God honored His prophets then and He honors them today.
