Scripture: Amos 9:11-12

God rewarded Amos and his very last prophetic word had to be the fruit of faithfulness for all the years that he prophesied God’s judgment for not turning. God showed him the restoration of Israel after their captivity. Amos 9:11-12 states, “On that day I will raise up The tabernacle of David, which has fallen down, And repair its damages; I will raise up its ruins, And rebuild it as in the days of old; That they may possess the remnant of Edom, And all the Gentiles who are called by My name,” Says the Lord who does this thing.” Verses 11-12 guarantee a restoration of the tabernacle of David and the covenant of David with the people as a platform for the great end-time harvest. What a revelation for Amos to get about the key to the end-time harvest. We know it is a key to the end-time harvest because of how it is also referred to in the New Testament. God rewarded even minor prophets who were obedient by showing them what He was going to do many years in the future. Today we are beneficiaries, encouraged by the Word of the Lord that Amos received.
