Scripture: 2 Peter 1:19-21

Verses 19-21 state, “And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts; knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.” Praying in tongues brings us into the revelation of God’s Word. And God’s Word, sown inside us, grows. First the grain, then the head, then the ear, then the full corn in the ear and we end up looking like Christ. If we look like Him we can handle His power in the last days. Whatever God prophesied for the end-times within the scope of our calling, we can do if we develop the character of Christ. That is the message and praying in tongues helps us get there and develop that character. Let’s run so we may obtain a prize! Let’s do it, in Jesus’ name!
