FRIDAY, MARCH 23
Scripture: 2 Samuel 15:13-14, Psalm 119:126

These verses say, “Now a messenger came to David, saying, ‘The hearts of the men of Israel are with Absalom.’ So David said to all his servants who were with him at Jerusalem, ‘Arise, and let us flee, or we shall not escape from Absalom. Make haste to depart, lest he overtake us suddenly and bring disaster upon us, and strike the city with the edge of the sword.’” David was fleeing from Absalom his own son and he had lost the city of Jerusalem and was on the run. David did not have a place to lay his head but he had the covenant of Sure Mercy. So the real question is, how did David navigate this continuing adversity that he had brought on himself? How did he get delivered from this? The answer is he prayed the covenant of Sure Mercy. What should we pray for America when traitors are trying to nullify the truth and the righteous standards that have made us productive and exemplary! Let us pray our covenant and include, “It is time for You to act, O Lord, for they have regarded Your law as void.”
