SUNDAY, MARCH 25
Scripture: Psalm 55:9-15, Isaiah 31:2

At this point, the only army David has is in heaven accessed by his covenant which he can pray. David was practically reduced to zero, nothing except God’s Word. How did David use God’s Word? It is a pattern for us as to how to use the covenant of Sure Mercy, when injustice comes our way. Psalm 55:12-15 says David prayed, “For it is not an enemy who reproaches me; Then I could bear it. Nor is it one who hates me who has exalted himself against me; Then I could hide from him. But it was you, a man my equal, My companion and my acquaintance. We took sweet counsel together, And walked to the house of God in the throng. Let death seize them; Let them go down alive into hell, For wickedness is in their dwellings and among them.” David prayed judicially over Ahithophel and Absalom. Does God answer King David? He certainly does! Will God answer us? You bet He will! For those who are standing arrogantly against God’s purposes and His people, let us pray with confidence Isaiah 31:2 which says, “Yet He too is wise and will bring disaster; he does not take back His words. He will rise up against the house of the wicked and against those who work iniquity.”
