WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 12
Scripture: Mark 4:35-41

In Mark 4 we see the first account of the fear of the Lord in the book of Mark. When the disciples were in the boat and about to swamped by the storm, Jesus stood up and rebuked the wind and the waves and said, “Peace be still” which was immediately followed by a great calm. In Mark 4:40-41 Jesus continued on and said, “Why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith?’ And they feared exceedingly, and said to one another, ‘Who can this be, that even the wind and the sea obey Him!’” This is a picture of what you and I are supposed to look like. The wind and the sea are to obey our God-breathed declarations. Are we walking with God in this dimension where the wind and the sea obey us? Are we relieving drought? Weather is a serious economic issue. The deceived believe man is responsible for the weather. The Bible teaches that God is Lord over the weather and it is subject to Him. Our prayers should be visible moving God’s Hand in the weather!
