SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 22
Scripture: Luke 9:29-36

Jesus finds Himself in the glory of the Lord speaking with Moses and Elijah. Verses 33b-36 say, “Peter said to Jesus, ‘Master, it is good for us to be here; and let us make three tabernacles: one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah’—not knowing what he said. While he was saying this, a cloud came and overshadowed them; and they were fearful as they entered the cloud. And a voice came out of the cloud, saying, ‘This is My beloved Son. Hear Him!’ When the voice had ceased, Jesus was found alone. But they kept quiet, and told no one in those days any of the things they had seen.” Isn’t it interesting that as the cloud began to envelop them, suddenly they were dealing with fear! While God was talking, a cloud came and overshadowed them and they were fearful as they entered the cloud. Fear is a definite obstacle when it comes to the unknown realm of the Spirit. Are we going to allow ourselves to be ruled by fear or are we going to set our faith to walk in the realm of the unknown. That means we have to supernaturally overcome our fear of the unknown. We need to ask God to give us the spirit of a pioneer and make us as bold as a lion. We should be asking God, ‘Lord, help me overcome the fear of the unknown in order to walk in the Spirit.’ This is a prayer every single one of us needs to be praying.
