Scripture: Mark 4:30-32
Mark 4:30-32 says, “Then He said, ‘To what shall we liken the Kingdom of God? Or with what comparison shall we compare it? It is like a mustard seed which, when it is sown on the ground, is smaller than all the seeds on earth; but when it is sowed, it grows up and becomes greater than all herbs, and shoots out branches, so that the birds of the air may rest under its shade.’” This is the secret of the Kingdom. If we give ourselves to God’s will, and faithfully nurture and farm our hearts, He has a great reward both for us and in the lives of everyone we touch. There is a potential yield for those we encourage along the way! Only eternity reveals the fruit of our lives and we won’t know the magnitude until the ultimate harvest at the end of the age. All we have done as believers will be revealed on judgment day in the awards banquet! God alone knows what our faithful obedience will produce! God alone knows how many will rest under the shade that our actions, effort and prayers have created!
