THURSDAY, JANUARY 31
Scripture: Exodus 10:3-5

This passage says, “So Moses and Aaron came in to Pharaoh and said to him, ‘Thus says the Lord God of the Hebrews: ‘How long will you refuse to humble yourself before Me? Let My people go, that they may serve Me. Or else, if you refuse to let My people go, behold, tomorrow I will bring locusts into your territory. And they shall cover the face of the earth, so that no one will be able to see the earth; and they shall eat the residue of what is left, which remains to you from the hail, and they shall eat every tree which grows up for you out of the field.’” The following day in Egypt the locusts came. God proved that Israel was separate. There were locusts overwhelming the Egyptians but there were no locusts in the territory of Goshen, the area of Egypt occupied by the Israelites. Over and over again we get this picture and that is what Moses asked for. ‘God, all our days as Your family, as Your nation, we need to know that we can be separate. We need to know that You will heal us, that You will deliver us and that You will take care of us.’ And God said, ‘Moses, I will do this thing.’ So here (This truth is for us too.) we are members of the family of God, adopted into His family and have access to His protection, His direction, His deliverance, His provision and His freedom!
