September 2006 Outcry

First Timothy 2:1-4 says,

Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and for all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.  For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

It is time to pray for the Spirit’s mobilization of believers who are fully motivated to go to the polls in November and cast a vote for righteousness.  This mid-term election will determine who controls Congress and therefore what kind of Judges can be nominated, who will clear the Senate.

Innocent blood continues to cry before the Throne and increasing devastation has been the result!  From 911 to Katrina to Rita to only God knows what will strike next.  As fullness of iniquity rises, so will the extent of devastation.

I wish I could say the church’s hands are innocent in all of this picture, but I cannot.  God has given us a covenant of sure mercy, which is a two-edged sword.  One edge demands we invoke the covenant of sure mercy for the region in which we live.  This allows God to intervene “cutting off” from the position of power those who are determined to advance their worldly, demonic and destructive ways.

Intercessors in every region should be in prayer invoking the covenant of sure mercy over their Senate and House races, expecting divine intervention.  In a very close election year, a small number of people dramatically leverage their numbers by showing up and voting – may the righteous run to the polls!

I prophetically expect two judicial vacancies in the last two years of President Bush’s term.  The control of the Senate determines whether we get conservative Judges or they are filibustered.  This may be the most crucial mid-term election in a century!  Since prayer changes things, it is time to earnestly intercede!

It has been 12 years since enroute to Seattle, at an altitude of 7 miles high, that the word of the Lord came to me saying, “An outcry has come to Me against your nation.”  That encounter is the reason for this monthly encouragement.  God never challenges us to an action that He does not honor when we respond!

Prayer now will impact the outcome of this election.  Future Supreme Court Judges are being decided not by principalities and powers, but by the action or inactions of the church. The government of God will manifest if we pray!
Rise to the challenge!
