I John 2:18 says, “Little children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that the  Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come, by which we know that it is the last hour.” The Antichrist spirit becomes prevalent and visible in the last days!  Verses 19 and 20 state, “They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us; but they went out that they might be made manifest, that none of them were of us.  But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things.”  The anointing of the Holy Spirit witnesses to every believer who develops a hearing ear making the antichrist spirit visible.  2 John 7 says, “For many deceivers have gone out into the world who do not confess Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.” All who refused to recognize Jesus as God in the flesh or God among us are operating in an antichrist spirit.

Daniel 11:37 points out another characteristic of antichrist, “He shall regard neither the God of his fathers nor the desire of women, nor regard any god; for he shall exalt himself above them all.” The antichrist spirit is a promoter of homosexuality. According to Daniel 11:41, he is also a betrayer of Israel.  Anyone who displays any of these characteristics could be said to be moving in some form of an antichrist spirit.

Romans 11:15 presents one of the great promises of the New Testament, when it says of physical Israel, “For if their being cast away is the reconciling of the world, what will their acceptance be but life from the dead?” Verses 25-27  declare salvation for the nation, “For I do not desire, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own opinion, that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in. And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written: ‘The Deliverer will come out of Zion, And He will turn away ungodliness from Jacob; For this is My covenant with them, When I take away their sins.’”

What can the church do when the president increasingly displays definite antichrist attitudes and actions?  Since Barack Obama became president, he has taken the following actions:

1.       Iran was given the green light to continue pursuing nuclear weapons with inconsequential penalties

2.       Leon Panetta was sent to Israel to warn against attacking Iran’s nuclear facilities

3.       Signed an executive order allowing thousands of Palestinians loyal to Hamas to resettle in the US

4.       Provided $28.3 million in migration assistance to Palestinians tied to Hamas

5.       Withdrew all charges against the masterminds behind the USS Cole and 911

We are commanded to pray for our leaders and the Davidic Psalms specifically fit this situation!  Please pray the following Psalms as the you are led,

• Psalms 37:12-15: “The wicked plots against the just, And gnashes at him with his teeth. The Lord laughs at him, For He sees that his day is coming. The wicked have drawn the sword And have bent their bow,  To cast down the poor and needy,  To slay those who are of upright conduct. Their sword shall enter their own heart, And their bows shall be broken.”
• Psalms 37:35, 36: “I have seen the wicked in great power, And spreading himself like a native green tree. Yet he passed away, and behold, he was no more; Indeed I sought him, but he could not be found.”
• Psalms 52:1-5, “Why do you boast in evil, O mighty man? The goodness of God endures continually. Your tongue devises destruction, Like a sharp razor, working deceitfully. You love evil more than good, Lying rather than speaking righteousness. Selah You love all devouring words, You deceitful tongue. God shall likewise destroy you forever; He shall take you away, and pluck you out of your dwelling place, And uproot you from the land of the living.  Selah”
• Psalms 58:1-8, “Do you indeed speak righteousness, you silent ones? Do you judge uprightly, you sons of men? No, in heart you work wickedness; You weigh out the violence of your hands in the earth.  The wicked are estranged from the womb; They go astray as soon as they are born, speaking lies. Their poison is like the poison of a serpent; They are like the deaf cobra that stops its ear, Which will not heed the voice of charmers, Charming ever so skillfully.  Break their teeth in their mouth, O God! Break out the fangs of the young lions, O LORD! Let them flow away as waters which run continually; When he bends his bow, Let his arrows be as if cut in pieces. Let them be like a snail which melts away as it goes, Like a stillborn child of a woman, that they may not see the sun. ”
• Psalms 59:1-5: “Deliver me from my enemies, O my God; Defend me from those who rise up against me. Deliver me from the workers of iniquity, And save me from bloodthirsty men. For look, they lie in wait for my life; The mighty gather against me, Not for my transgression nor for my sin, O LORD. They run and prepare themselves through no fault of mine. Awake to help me, and behold! You therefore, O LORD God of hosts, the God of Israel, Awake to punish all the nations; Do not be merciful to any wicked transgressors. Selah”
