Scripture: Genesis 20

Abraham had another season in his life when there was famine in the land and he went south again.  Only this time he avoided Pharaoh since that did not work out well previously.  And he went to a king called Abimelech. Abimelech did the same thing.  Abimelech took Sarai into his own house.  The question becomes, how strong is this covenant concerning justice?  Can we ask God to plague somebody?  Is it possible to ask God to remove them permanently?  In verse 3 of Genesis 20 we find out the strength of the judicial side of the Blood Covenant that we have with God.  It says, “But God came to Abimelech in a dream by night, and said to him, ‘Indeed you are a dead man because of the woman whom you have taken, for she is a man’s wife.’”  How strong is this Blood Covenant we have with God?  Strong enough to put somebody in the grave when they are trying to destroy your field or harvest arena.  Verse 7 says it very well, “’Now therefore, restore the man’s wife; for he is a prophet, and he will pray for you and you shall live. But if you do not restore her, know that you shall surely die, you and all who are yours.’”  There is covenant intervention that is available to every single believer in today’s world.  Is the American Church using it?  Apparently not!  Why not?  Why are we enabling our leadership to continue destroying the land when we should be in the Throne-Room demanding Abrahamic covenant justice resulting in their removal.  Anything less forfeits the land because it allows it to be filled with iniquity until it has to be judged.  It is time to pray.  It is time to demand.  It is time to be who you were called to be!
