Scripture: Exodus 20:1-19

Exodus 20:18-19 say it all, “Now all the people witnessed the thunderings, the lightning flashes, the sound of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking; and when the people saw it, they trembled and stood afar off. Then they said to Moses, ‘You speak with us, and we will hear; but let not God speak with us, lest we die.’’   When the people realized what it would take to stand in the fire of God, they had a collective response, “Let someone else do it.  You, Moses, go talk to God.  We will hear, but let God not speak with us, lest we die.”  It is obvious the people were not willing to pay the price to carry the fire.  We have that attitude in the church today!  Will that change without a lot of calamity?  However, every generation has to have a significant number of people that are willing to pay the price to stand in the fire to carry the justice of God.  The end-time church might as well go home and give up if they are not prepared to believe, sanctify, wash and be ready.  We want the anointing without the preparation.  Violating the pattern may not work!  God’s pattern leads us to the anointing necessary to change what is wrong in this nation.  Only the fire prophetically proclaimed and applied at the top levels of government can save this nation.  But the good news is, the same angel that was dispatched for the early church in Acts 12, to remove Herod,  is still available to the church today.  Use him!  (Hebrews 1:13,14)
