Scripture: 2 Samuel 7:13,16

2 Samuel 7:13,16 state, “He shall build a house for My name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever.…And your house and your kingdom shall be established forever before you. Your throne shall be established forever.”  Jesus was the son of David according to Matthew chapter 1.  As the son of David, He now sits on the Throne of David; the eternal Throne of David.  And from that place His government flows.  Access to that courtroom is guaranteed for every believer.  What are we doing with it?  Are we going into that Throne-Room and putting a demand on God to remove the enemies who would steal a country, a generation and a harvest?  If we aren’t, if we are praying for them instead of against them, we are enabling evil because we are propping it up!  We enable evil by religious tradition and because we are nicer than God.  We do not want to hear, “Depart from me you worker of iniquity, I never knew you!”  One of the ways you work iniquity is by enabling it.  You leave it in office.  Is it any wonder Jesus said, “The traditions of men have made the Word of God of none affect”?  The last forty years the Word of God has been of none affect in dealing with government.  Isn’t it about time we realize it is because we spend all our time praying for people instead of actually using the covenant to pray against them?  If the church ever wakes up it may be possible to save a nation.  Religion has made the Word of God of no affect for 40 years!
