Scripture: Revelation 2:7

There is a consistent theme that seems to run through every single church that Jesus dealt with in the book of Revelation. And because it is so consistent perhaps it needs to become first, foremost and utterly primary in our lives. In verse 7 of Revelation 2 Jesus said, “He who has an ear let him ear what the Spirit says to the churches…” Do we have an ear for what God is saying? Over and over again I was taught in seminary that the Spirit and the Word always agree and when the Spirit and the Word agree in us then we become one with that Word. When we become one with that Word there is no deterring God’s purpose in our lives. How many in the church today are hearing what the Spirit is saying to the church? Are we hearing? The Bible is the only book in existence that consistently presents absolute truth!
