Scripture: Colossians 2:1-3

Paul is the author that reveals the fullness of what Jesus bought and paid for in His resurrection. His epistles present a picture that is far different from what the church portrays today. Much of the church today is like an entertainment center compared to what Paul offered. Are we going to church because it is a feel-good place or are we going in order to gain the full access to all that has been bought and paid for in eternity? Can we, like Paul, say in every situation, God’s triumph is available? Colossians 2:1-3 states, “I want you to know how hard I am contending for you and for those at Laodicea, and for all who have not met me personally. My goal is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.” All the “…treasures of wisdom and knowledge” are available to us in Christ. So the question is, are we pursuing them? As we pursue them, our mind is renewed and we begin to think differently. We start to think in terms of triumph in every situation. We begin to think like a King!
