Scripture: Acts 20:25=27

In Acts 20:25-27 Paul states, “And indeed, now I know that you all, among whom I have gone preaching the kingdom of God, will see my face no more. Therefore I testify to you this day that I am innocent of the blood of all men. For I have not shunned to declare to you the whole counsel of God.” It is obvious that Paul knew that the issue of bloodguiltiness with the prophetic call was just as much an issue in the New Testament as it was in the Old. Being a watchman did not pass away when the New Testament was written. This principle carries all the way through. It is one that we have to face just like Paul had to face. What Paul says at the end of his life is, “Do you see these hands? They are innocent of your blood. As a watchman, I have executed my spiritual duty. There is a cost to be true, and I paid it.” Can we say that? We better be able to. The day is coming when we will have to give answer!
