Scripture: Luke 16:2-5

Luke 16:2-5 states, “So he called him and said to him, ‘What is this I hear about you? Give an account of your stewardship, for you can no longer be steward.’ Then the steward said within himself, ‘What shall I do? For my master is taking the stewardship away from me. I cannot dig; I am ashamed to beg. I have resolved what to do, that when I am put out of the stewardship, they may receive me into their houses.’ So he called every one of his master’s debtors to him, and said to the first, ‘How much do you owe my master?’” Every single person is going to give an account before the judgment seat of Christ for our stewardship. We will have to stand and answer questions about our conduct. What did we do with the revelation we had? What did we do with our time? How did we spend what God gave us? Did we develop in the character of Christ? Did we take the authority the Lord gave and did we use it for His Kingdom? These are all questions we will have to answer individually about our own personal lives. The time we spend coming into Christlikeness as both a Priest and a King is probably the most valuable time we have because it enables us then to answer questions at the Judgment Seat of Christ in the affirmative. We did what you said – we applied our faith! We prayed and asked you to remove the unfaithful stewards. We put a demand on you, we released our authority. We spoke to the mountain and commanded it to be removed. We did what you said – we put the word in our mouth! You said those who walked with you are your friends. Those who are with You do Your word. Those who are against You do tradition. We stood with You. That is what we want to be able to say and the only way we can say that is if we grow in the Kingly so the Holy Spirit can use us in either the Priestly or Kingly office as He desires!
