FRIDAY, JUNE 3
Scripture: 1 Timothy 1:8-11

In 1 Timothy 1:8-11, we find there is such a thing as a pattern of sound doctrine. When the pattern of sound doctrine is abandoned, then we are on the road to losing all judicial authority. The foundation for judicial authority is this pattern of sound doctrine in the Word. When the Word no longer becomes the authority for life, then we have abandoned the pattern of sound doctrine and anything goes. Tradition enabled by how people feel, and what is culturally acceptable unite to destroy the pattern of sound doctrine bringing utter destruction to a society. Seeing this develop Paul encouraged Timothy to bring forth and to stand against those who were contrary to sound doctrine. This became the major issue in the early church and, it is a major issue now.
