SATURDAY, OCTOBER 1
Scripture: Revelation 19:13, John 12:48

Revelation 19:13 says, “He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God.” The love of God undergirds the Word of God which sets forth a standard demanding justice for those who threaten the harvest. When individuals like Herod take actions that divert or destroy God’s purpose, the church must act. Divine intervention is usually approved. The Jesus of Revelation intervenes to slay evil-doers with His word. In John 12:48, Jesus said, “He who rejects Me, and does not receive My words, has that which judges him—the word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day.” The Jesus of Revelation is wearing a robe that is dipped in blood from intervening in our affairs. He executes judicial action by the Word of God which is His very name. That picture of the Savior is one we must embrace to participate with Him in executing justice! The Jesus who intervenes is a prayer away!
