MONDAY, DECEMBER 5
Scripture: 1 Chronicles 21:9-12

When David was confronted with sin, he was given three choices. The options were three years the sword of famine, three years the sword of the enemy or three days with the Sword of the Lord. David’s choices all involved the application of a sword for one purpose: to bring repentance. When we look at the love of God and the affliction of Hebrews 12 that makes legitimate sons, then we understand that it comprises the same three swords. In distress, repentance came. So it is today, in distress repentance eventually comes.
