THURSDAY, JANUARY 12
Scripture: Revelation 19:15, John 21:15

Peter was very much like many of us when he started. He wanted success but God’s definition of success and ours is often quite different! God emphasizes serving the people we minister to! God’s view of serving includes correction! Not everyone is willing to hear correction. When we qualify for the level of anointing demanded by our ultimate call, dominion is available to confront evil. The rod of iron can be used to advance God’s purpose. Any shepherd who tries to function without qualifying for the rod of iron will, in fact, not be able to take his people to the place of strength and power where they need to go. The rod of iron is essential. It is necessary. Without it, we will find ourselves meeting opposition that we are not prepared to overcome. Using a rod of iron demands a servant-motivation. It demands the establishment of a foundation of servanthood, not personal Kingdom-building. Selfish ambition and self-will disqualify us from using a rod of iron. David’s covenant guarantees the rod of iron for dispatching opposition to God’s plan! Servanthood qualifies us to be heard and releases the angels to bring judicial prayers to pass when our motives match God’s purposes for building His Kingdom. There is a giant circuit-breaker attached to the rod of iron and it is called: personal motivation! Advancing our own agenda disqualifies us from dominion. Dominion removes adversaries when prayed in God’s will. We are responsible for praying God’s government on the promoters of evil.
