SATURDAY, JULY 14
Scripture: Luke 22:37,38

Luke 22:37,38 states, “’For I say to you that this which is written must still be accomplished in Me: “And He was numbered with the transgressors.” For the things concerning Me have an end.’ So they said, ‘Lord, look, here are two swords.’ And He said to them, ‘It is enough.’” The two swords represented both the Priestly ministry of the Lamb and the Kingly ministry of the Lion. As a Priest, they could forgive sin and as a King, they could judge it. Until we say yes to walking in both of those equally and letting the choice be fully the Spirit’s, we hinder our destiny! The Spirit originates judicial action. The sudden deaths of Ananias and Sapphira was not Peter’s idea. But unless we are prepared, we will forgive what God does not forgive. This may be surprising, but there is a church in Revelation 2 that is guilty of tolerating evil. In fact, there was more than one. Pergamos was allowing something Jesus hated. So was Thyatira. I wonder how they got that way. Could it be they were so Priestly, they were of no Kingly good? We need to make a choice. Jesus calls us and sends us to both redeem and judge evil. It is pretty clear in the Word! We cannot get away from it unless we cut out sections of our New Testament. The church cannot come into its full purpose until we stand in that glorious place. We are not going anywhere until we start judging evil. It is time to be who God called us to be. He paid the price and He is demanding we live in it.
