Scripture: Psalm 106:19-23

In verses 19-23, idolatry created a breach. The people have opened the door to judgment. Verses 19-23 states, “They made a calf in Horeb, And worshiped the molded image. Thus they changed their glory Into the image of an ox that eats grass. They forgot God their Savior, Who had done great things in Egypt, Wondrous works in the land of Ham, Awesome things by the Red Sea. Therefore He said that He would destroy them, Had not Moses His chosen one stood before Him in the breach, To turn away His wrath, lest He destroy them.” God was ready to destroy Israel. This only happened four times. But each time, the same man who understood God’s righteous standard, stepped up into the gap. We are told that because Moses stood in the breach or the gap, in verse 23, he turned away God’s wrath. Otherwise, the nation would have been destroyed. What a powerful verse! It shows us that one individual can step into the gap and make a difference. Are we willing to step into the gap for our state, for our city, for our nation? If we learn to walk with the Judicial Christ we can step into the gap and turn God’s wrath, so a nation or region can be saved!
