Scripture: Genesis 12:1-3, 17-20

Pharaoh was very upset with Abram because he understood that the plagues described in Genesis 12 that came on Egypt and his house were the result of Pharaoh’s violation of the marriage covenant with Abram and Sarai. He even rebuked Abram for not being completely being honest with him that Sarai was his wife. God covenantally rebuked kings for the sake of Abram. This is how strong axios intercession and prayer is. We have a God who intervenes in our behalf, even against kings, for justice! Are we willing to ask for it? The first Psalm David wrote was in 1 Chronicles 16:7-22 and he reminded God of justice based on Abraham’s covenant!
