Scripture: Luke 16:13-,14

Luke 16:13,14 says, “No servant can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon. Now the Pharisees, who were lovers of money, also heard all these things, and they derided Him.” The Pharisees had one thing in mind. They were lovers of money and wanted to get ahead. They justified themselves but Jesus said, ‘God knows your heart and what is highly esteemed among men is an abomination in the sight of God.’ What makes a minister successful in the eyes of men? Is it possible that what makes a ministry successful in the eyes of men can actually be an abomination to God, if we have to compromise to gain the success? If it includes compromise, we can bank on the fact that what we produce is an abomination in God’s eyes!
