Scripture: Acts 13:23

Acts 13:23 says, “From this man’s seed, according to the promise, God raised up for Israel a Savior—Jesus—” Verse 22 fully describes where that seed comes from. It says, “And when He had removed him (that’s Saul) He raised up, for them David as king, to whom also He gave testimony and said, ‘I have found David the son of Jessie, a man after My own heart, who will do all My will.’” Jesus was said to be the seed of David. What distinguished David from Saul was that when Saul was given a judicial assignment, he refused to fully execute it. David, however, always executed his judicial assignments. Do we know the Jesus who is the seed of David who is exactly like David? Do we know the Jesus Who like David will take no prisoners? The Jesus Who we are supposed to seize and not let go is the Jesus Who is exactly like David? When David’s heart is fully formed in every believer then we will have a balanced church. Are we there?
