Scripture: Matthew 12:16-21

Matthew 12:16-21 describes part of what Jesus has done for us, what He bought and paid in His Blood that we can walk in. It says, “Behold! My Servant whom I have chosen, My Beloved in whom My soul is well pleased! I will put My Spirit upon Him, And He will declare justice to the Gentiles. He will not quarrel nor cry out, Nor will anyone hear His voice in the streets. A bruised reed He will not break, And smoking flax He will not quench, Till He sends forth justice to victory; And in His name Gentiles will trust.” Jesus bought and paid for an anointing of the Holy Spirit and when that anointing comes, the promise is that He will put His Spirit on us and we will declare justice/judgment to the Gentiles because He has already taken judgment to victory. Jesus forever connected judgment to the moral standard of the law. Where there is consistent violation of God’s biblical moral standard, then justice/judgment will be available on the perpetrators. But you and I must keep the way of the Lord and be led by the Spirit. Can we demonstrate it? We are called to and need to be in preparation to walk it out.
