TUESDAY, APRIL 21
Scripture: Psalm 55:12-15

David’s best friend Ahithophel became Absalom’s counselor. And this for David was a major and painful betrayal – so much so that he had to send Hushai under cover into the city in the hopes that Hushai’s counsel would be listened to instead of Ahithophel’s. If Hushai could win the argument of the day, then David knew he was going to regain Jerusalem. God heard David’s cry and He answered by sending Ahithophel to the grave. The city was restored and the way of the Lord prevailed. Will we be able to say at the end of this year that the way of the Lord prevailed? It all starts with doing righteousness, so we can pray judgment.
