Scripture: Matthew 3:11

Matthew 3:11 says, “I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.” Do our churches preach the baptism of the Holy Spirit and fire? It is not enough to reach the baptism of the Holy Spirit with tongues. But Scripture adds two important words: “…and fire.” The fire is the burning up of what is crooked. If we accept the baptism of the Holy Spirit we cannot disregard the fire! Ask yourself, where is the fire in our churches? Is there any? If not, perhaps we should bring some!
