SUNDAY, JULY 19
Scripture: Exodus 9:21-27

The hail and fire of the seventh plague were so bad that there was none like it in all the land of Egypt since it had become a nation. Every person and their livestock who went to the fields died. Only in the land of Goshen, where the children of Israel were was there no hail. This made such an impact on Pharaoh, that verse 27,28 says, “And Pharaoh sent and called for Moses and Aaron, and said to them, ‘I have sinned this time. The Lord is righteous, and my people and I are wicked.’” After seven devastating judicial manifestations, Pharaoh finally admits his sin. Isn’t it amazing that people can be so deceived that it takes that much devastation for the truth to sink in. But it did for Pharaoh.
