Scripture: Romans 5:17

Romans 5:17 says, “For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.” What is our part? Our part is to receive the gift of righteousness. We must say yes to that amazing gift and walk it out through ongoing relationship with the Father and through obedience to Him. The Greek word for “reign” is bas-il-yoo-o. This is a verb and it means, ‘the action of a king.’ When we receive the gift of righteousness, we can do the things that kings do – judge and war!
