SATURDAY, MAY 21
Scripture: 1 Corinthians 12:10, 1 Corinthians 14:14

Verse 10 continues “…to another different kinds of tongues…” Tongues is a prayer language. We are told in 1 Corinthians 14 that when we pray in a tongue, our spirit prays. Our mind is unfruitful but God knows exactly what we are praying for. We are praying beyond our intellect, beyond our mind and beyond our emotions. When we pray in tongues we pray God’s perfect will. This gift of tongues is for public meeting and works in conjunction with the interpretation of tongues. Tongues is one of the most practical gifts God has ever given and we can ask Him for it like this, ‘Father, You said You would fill me with the Holy Spirit and that I could speak in other tongues. So in Jesus’ name I receive that from You. Thank You for that prayer language and bless me in it in Jesus’ name.’
