Scripture: Acts 13:32-34

Acts 13:32-34 says, “And we declare to you glad tidings—that promise which was made to the fathers. God has fulfilled this for us their children, in that He has raised up Jesus. As it is also written in the second Psalm: ‘You are My Son, Today I have begotten You.’ And that He raised Him from the dead, no more to return to corruption, He has spoken thus: ‘I will give you the sure mercies of David.’” In Acts 13, Jesus gives to each of us the very same covenant that the Father gave to King David. He gives us the very same covenant and if we believe the covenant and act upon it like David, we can do the same things David did. David is our best example in Scripture of how to act and how to pray. If we want to subdue kingdoms, then our example in Scripture of application is King David. We need to be a doer of the Word and not a hearer of the Word only. Will we do it? I trust we will, in Jesus’ name.
