Scripture: 1 Corinthians 2:6-10

1 Corinthians 2:6-10 says, “However, we speak wisdom among those who are mature, yet not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory, which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. But as it is written: ‘Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.’ But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.” This passage is quite clear about God’s purpose for us! God’s wisdom is hidden in mysteries so those who choose the world never see it! How do those of us in the church access God’s mysteries so we can walk in His wisdom? When we pray in tongues, according to 1 Corinthians 14:2, we are praying mysteries, “For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God, for no one understands him; however, in the spirit he speaks mysteries.” God gave us a path to wisdom and understanding. The question is, do we understand God’s path enough to employ it as God intended? God knows what we need to finish our assignment – are we pursuing it in the Spirit?
