Scripture: 1 Corinthians 14:3-4

1 Corinthians 14:3-4 says, “But he who prophesies speaks edification and exhortation and comfort to men. He who speaks in a tongue edifies himself, but he who prophesies edifies the church.” Oy-kod-om-eh-o is the Greek word for “edify” and means ‘To repair, to rebuild, to inhabit a house.’ Praying in tongues gives us the wisdom to build a spiritual house. That wisdom is a necessary part of building a spiritual house and one important way we can get it is praying in the Spirit. I trust we are understanding God’s intentions and becoming determined to use this destiny-gift as we pursue our calling!
