FRIDAY, AUGUST 25
Scripture: Job 13:21 (NKJV, MSG)

Job 13:21 says, “Withdraw Your hand far from me, And let not the dread of You make me afraid.” In The Message translation it says, “…lay off the afflictions; the terror is too much for me.” The Message shows us one of the great prayers and principles of God that is available. It is a prayer for affliction on the enemies of God to match the destruction they are doing in the land. Visit them according to their iniquity. Visit them according to their works. Reward them according to their works. Revelation 22 says that is exactly what Jesus does in the last days. He rewards people according to their works. If affliction from God saved a King worse than Ahab named Manesseh, why would it not save us today? Praying the judicial affliction of God is biblical and it is available. It is a strategy that can be used these days on wayward judges and I believe God will honor those prayers. And through these judgments some errant judges may be saved. Isn’t it time we started asking God to be too much?
