Scripture: Exodus 6:1-6

Exodus 6:1-6 says, “Then the Lord said to Moses, ‘Now you shall see what I will do to Pharaoh. For with a strong hand he will let them go, and with a strong hand he will drive them out of his land.’ And God spoke to Moses and said to him: ‘I am the Lord. I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, as God Almighty, but by My name Lord[a] I was not known to them. I have also established My covenant with them, to give them the land of Canaan, the land of their pilgrimage, in which they were strangers. And I have also heard the groaning of the children of Israel whom the Egyptians keep in bondage, and I have remembered My covenant. Therefore say to the children of Israel: ‘I am the Lord; I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, I will rescue you from their bondage, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with great judgments.’” We learn something of great value from this passage. We learn Who God is concerning the issue of the paths of judgment. We understand from Exodus 6 that Jehovah is the God who stretches out His arm in answer to the cries of His people and breaks the bondage they are in by great judgments. That is Who God is! We also understand that He has a purpose in manifesting those judgments. That purpose is eternal. We not only have a right to ask for those judgments but we have a reason to ask for those judgments. We must become a people who through prayer demonstrate the judgments of God in the Last Days. We have to and we have to in order that God’s ultimate eternal purpose might be accomplished. Not just the harvesting of the age, but everything that Jesus died for is in that eternal purpose.
