WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 7
Scripture: Luke 23:29-43

When Jesus was hanging on the cross one of the thieves asked Him for salvation, while the other one was mocking, “If you are the Christ, save us.” The first criminal rebuked the one who mocked by saying, “’Do you not even fear God, seeing you are under the same condemnation? And we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward of our deeds; but this Man has done nothing wrong.’ Then he said to Jesus, ‘Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom.’ And Jesus said to him, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.’” Isn’t it interesting that the fear of God is on one thief and it motivates him to ask for salvation and the Lord gives it to him. What an amazing event and what an awesome power that goes with the fear of the Lord. Salvation is one of the main reasons why it has to be restored in this season. Sometimes only a glimpse of God’s awesome power can birth a fear that will turn the hearts of the wicked to the Lord!
