SUNDAY, JUNE 9
Scripture: Ephesians 2:4-10

In Ephesians 2:4-10 we are told, “But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.” All the good works that God ordained for us, He prepurposed and predestined us to do. What we have here is the unfolding purpose of God, through His sons and daughters who are schooled in who they are and walk in faith. Sickness cannot fell them, demons cannot stop them and nobody can kill them before they finish their race. We were saved in order to contribute to God’s ongoing purpose in the earth. We were predestined to do good works that will accomplish His eternal purpose. For such a season we have come to the Kingdom and surely we can walk this out as we participate in gathering in His harvest. God has a divine design and it unfolds through the church. Let’s walk it out, in Jesus’ name!
